 Ingredients :-

1 cup - Rava / Sooji
1 cup - Mango pulp
1/2 cup - Milk
1 cup - Water
1 tsp - Mango Essence
1/2 cup - Sugar
5 tbsps - Ghee
1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
Saffron (optional) - few strands
1/4 tsp - Orange food colour
10 - Cashews /Raisins

Method:-

1) Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a frying pan and roast the rava for a few minutes till a nice aroma comes out. Be careful not to burn the rava.Then keep the roasted rava aside.

2) In the same pan heat 1 tbsp of ghee and add cashews . Fry till golden brown and keep it aside.

3) In the same pan boil the water,mango pulp and milk . When the water ,mango pulp and milk gets boil add  the food colour ,mango essence  and mix well. Then add fried rava to it slowly by stirring continuously , so that no lumps are formed.Keep it on medium Flame.It will take 8-10 minutes to get cooked.

4) When Rava is fully cooked and there is no water then  add sugar and mix well. By this time the rava would have been almost cooked and so reduce the flame and keep stirring in between so it doesn't burn.Add remaining ghee and mix well.It will take another 5-8 minutes.

5) Sprinkle cardamom powder, saffron strands and mix well.Garnish with fried cashews and  raisins.

6) Yummy Mango Kesari is ready to serve.


Rave ladoo is one of my favorite sweets from my childhood.Making Rava ladoo in the microwave is really easy and quick.These ladoos tastes delicious and saves our lot of time and efforts.

Makes: 10 big ladoos

Ingredients:-

2 cups Fine Semolina/Rava/Sooji
2 cups Powdered Sugar
3/4 cup Ghee
1 tsp Powdered Cardamom
10 Cashews  (Optional)

Method:-

1) Place rava in a microwave safe bowl and add melted ghee to it.. Mix well and place in microwave on high for 4 mins.(Time may vary depending on your Microwave). Keep stiring in between after every one minute..
2) When done, remove and allow it to cool in a wide plate (30 mins).
3) Once cool, add powdered sugar cardamom powder and nuts (if using) and mix well to remove lumps. I did'nt add nuts to rava ladoos.
4) Make small round balls with hand.
5) If they break easily or hard to make nice shaped ladoos then add 2-3 tbsp hot melted ghee and then make ladoos.
6) Store in air tight container and enjoy for next few days :)



Ingredients:-

Rava /Sooji / Semolina - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Milk - 5 Cups
Saffron / Kesar - A pinch dissolved in milk
Raisins - Few
Cashewnuts -Few
Ghee -1 tsp
Almonds -12
Cadamom powder -1/4 tsp


Method:-

1) Soak Almonds in warm water for 30 minuts.
2) Then grind it to paste in a blender.
3) Dry roast rava in a non stick pan .
4) Mean While boil milk.
5) Heat nonstick pan add boiled milk then slowly add roasted rava stirring continously .Stir Continuously otherwise lumps will form.
6) Add badam paste and cook on medium flame..
7) Let rava mixture cook completely for 10-15 minutes stirring occasinally so that it doesnot stick to the pan.
8) Then add sugar ,cardamom powder and saffron mixture and cook till sugar dissolves completely.Turn off stove.
9) Heat ghee in pan and roast cashwes till golden color ,remove and fry raisins.When the raisins become plump, remove them.
10) Add Cashews and raisins to Payasam and stir. Garnish with saffron strands.
Serve hot or cold.
