Wish you all a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year !!!!

Veg Rolls are the best appetizers / snacks (sometimes it’s a main course) for us. A popular appetizer, Veg Rolls are sure to be a hit as a picnic meal as it is very easy to carry them and can be eaten on its own. It is very easy and simple to prepare and healthy also .

Ingredients

For the Dough:

Maida 1 cup (240 ml)
Wheat Flour 1 cup (240 ml)
Water required Quantity
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Butter 1/2 teaspoon.

For the Stuffing:

One Potato chopped
One Carrot Chopped
1/2 Bell Pepper Chopped
1/2 cup green peas ( I used frozen)
One Medium size Onion Chopped
Ginger-Garlic Paste-1/2 teaspoon
Chili Powder -1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil

Method:

Make the dough by mixing the maida, Wheat flour, salt and Butter by adding the required quantity of water.

Heat a kadai with a little oil and put the Ginger-Garlic paste in it and fry for a few seconds. Then add the Onions and fry them for a little while.

Add the chopped potatoes, carrots ,green peasand the Bell peppers to it. Put the salt to it and chilli powder to it.

After the vegetables are done add the garam masala and simmer for 5-10 minutes. And let it cool then.

Make the dough into small balls and roll them into round thin layers.

In each layer place a little curry in it. Fold like a Envelope and seal the edges with a little water.

Heat a tava and put half teaspoon oil in it. Place 2 rolls at a time and make fry them until golden brown. You may use ghee instead of oil.

Serve the rolls with Mint Chutney or Tomato Sauce.
