Ingredients :-
Medium semi ripe papaya 3 cups (chopped into cubes or grated)
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 5 tbsp (adjust according to your taste)
Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Almond powder - 2 tbsp (Optional)
Cashew Nuts - 12 halved
Raisins - few (optional)
Method:-
- First rinse and peel the papaya.
- Cut into half and remove the seeds and pith from it.Slice the papaya and chop finely.
- In a pan add the milk and let it boils. In a Kadai or pan fry the cashews and raisins in a tbsp of ghee and keep it aside.
- For making Almond Powder I crushed 15 almonds in a mixer.
- Add a tbsp of ghee in a same kadai or pan. Then add the papaya cubes.
- Cook on a low flame for about 15 minutes.Keep stirring in between.
- The fruit will release it juices and little bit change the color.
- Now mash the papaya well with the back of the ladle.
- Add sugar and then stir well. Continue to cook for further 5 minutes on a low flame
- Now add the boiled milk in the papaya sugar mixture and keep stirring for about 20-25 minutes on low flame until ghee will start to separate.
- Cook for 5-6 minutes more till the whole halwa has gotten together or halwa starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Add the cardamom powder and fried cashews and raisins to the halwa.Switch off the stove.
- Now Healthy and Lip Smacking Papaya Halwa is ready !!!
- Serve the Papaya Halwa warm .
- Keep it in a Fridge and You can also serve the Papaya Halwa as a yummy cold dessert.
- You can adjust sugar according to your taste.
- If Papaya is fully ripe You need to add very little sugar.
- Add boiled milk only if you add cold milk it will curdle.
Ingredients :-
1 cup oats ( I used Instant Oats)
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups milk
4 tsps Ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp food colour
Few Cashew nuts and raisins fried in ghee
Method:-
In a non-stick pan heat 2-3 tsp ghee and fry oats on low heat till they just change colour.Heat the milk and sugar in a pan and bring it to boil. Once the sugar dissolves completely add the fried oats and Stir continuously. Also add cardamom powder and the remaining ghee.Add food colour also. Stir until the mixture leaves sides of the pan. Remove from fire and garnish with fried cashews and raisins. Serve warm.
This wheat flour halwa is great to taste and takes only few minutes to prepare.
Ingredients:-
Wheat Flour /Godhuma Pindi /Aata - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Ghee - 12-15 tbsp / 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Broken Cashew nuts - a few to garnish
Method:-
1) Heat 5 tbsp of ghee in a non-stick pan.
2) Add a broken cashew nuts. Fry till golden brown.Take the fried cashew nuts to a bowl.
3) Add a cup of wheat flour in the remaining ghee.
4) Roast the wheat flour in ghee till nice aroma comes which takes around 8 minutes on medium heat.Keep stirring continuously while roasting otherwise it will burn.The color will also change to a little darker brown. Transfer the roasted wheat flour to a plate or bowl.
5) In the same pan ,add a cup of milk. Bring the milk to a boil.
6) Add a cup of sugar. Let it dissolve in the milk completely.
7) Now turn the heat to medium and add roasted wheat flour to boiling milk. Mix it in the milk continuously so that lumps are not formed.
8) Add remaining ghee to the flour when it starts to thicken. After it thickens and turn the heat off.
9) Garnish with fried cashew nuts.
10) Transfer the halwa to a serving bowl and serve warm.

Ingredients:
3 grated apples (I used gala)
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp coarsely powdered cashews
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
GARNISH.
Dry fruits.(I used Almonds).
Method:
Wash and Peel the apples and grate them.Keep aside.
Heat ghee in a non stick pan. Add the grated apple and fry on a medium heat, till all the water is evaporated . It takes about 8-10mins.
Now add the sugar and coarsely powdered cashews and mix it.
Cook, mixing occasionally, till the mixture thickens and all the sugar is mixed well with apples. Towards the end, you need to mix continuously, otherwise it sticks to bottom of the pan and burns.
When it looks very dry, add cardamom powder and mix .
Grease a plate with ghee and pour the halwa on plate and allow it cool.Later shape them into a round small balls . Garnish with ur favourite dry fruits. I used roasted almonds .
OR Transfer the contents on a greased(with ghee) plate and flatten it.Cut it into squares or into desired shapes. Let it cool down a little bit and then take out the pieces.

10 tbsp Sugar (Adjust according to your taste)

1/2 cup water
Crushed cardamom-a pinch
A few Almonds,cashews,Raisns for garnishing

Method:-
1) Cut guavas into 4 big pieces and remove the seeds. Then Cut the gauava into small pieces.
2) Steam the guava pieces till soft in pressure cooker.
3) Cool and blend in a mixie.If necessary add very little bit of water and blend.
4) In a pan add sugar and water (very little water till it immerses the sugar) and cook.
5) After sugar disolves completely add blended guava paste.
6) Cook till it begins to thicken.Add ghee little at a time and continue to cook stirring on low flame.Stir continuously so that it does not stick to the bottom.
7) Cook until the mixture comes close or becomes thick..Add Crushed cardamom.
8)Serve garnished with chopped nuts.
Healthy and Lip smacking Halwa is ready :-)

Lapsi or dalia or burglar wheat or broken wheat or cracked wheat or godhuma rava is nutritious as it is unrefined wheat,high in fibre and manganese.It tastes great, easy to make and is delicious.
Ingredients:
Cracked wheat /Broken wheat/ Lapsi - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Lowfat milk / whole milk- 2 cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp
Sliced almonds/Cashew /Raisins for garnishing
Method:
Heat a heavy bottomed pan and add 1/2 tbsp ghee. When ghee melts, add the cracked wheat and roast until the content heats up and good aroma comes. Transfer it to another container.
Heat milk and water in the heavy bottomed pan and when the content heats up, add the roasted cracked wheat.
Allow it to cook partially closed. Stir occasionally. Cook until the wheat is tender. If all the moisture is absorbed and still the wheat is not cooked, pour half a cup water and allow it to cook until the wheat is tender.
When the wheat is fully cooked, add the sugar and cardamom. The content will loosen and again start thickening. When most of the moisture is absorbed, add the remaining ghee. Stir well until even distribution. Let the halwa be a little loose as the sweet tends to thicken after some time.
Stir in the nutmeg powder and garnish with almonds ,cashews,Raisins. Delicious lapsi is ready.
Tip:-
Try a combination of water, Water & milk or all milk for creamier halwa.

Banana (Smashed) -1cup
Milk - 1 cup / Milk Powder – ½ cup

Pistachio - few

-Cook grated carrots in milk until cooked.
-Add grated apples and smashed banana and cook.
-Add a sugar and dry out.
-Then Add cardamom powder .
-Stir vigorously to avoid burning.
-Heat some ghee and add to the mixture and mix well till the Ghee oozes out.
-Remove from heat and garnish with chopped almonds ,cashew nuts and pistachio.
- Enjoy your Apple, Banana & Carrot Halwa (ABC Halwa) !!!!

Whenever there is left over bread at home, dried and crumbled to be used then, prepare bread halwa. Its is called double ka meetha and Shahi tukda in some places of india.Its easy to make and heavenly to taste.
Ingredients:-
White bread - 10 slices
Milk - 2 cups
Ghee -7 tsp
Sugar -2 cups
Fried cashew nuts and Almonds -2 tsp
Cardamom Powder -1/4 tsp
Method:
- Cut the bread slices into small pieces and fry in 2 tsp spoons of ghee, till slight brown.
- Add ghee in a small pan and add cashew nuts and Almonds and fry till golden color.
- Boil milk, add sugar,cardamom powder and keep stirring till sugar completely dissolves in the milk . Then add fried bread pieces and continue heating on slow flame.
- Add 3 more tsp spoons of ghee and keep stirring, till the ghee sucks out.
- Then Garnish with fried Almonds and cashews.
Serve hot or cold.It tastes both good warm and cold. If ghee is not sufficient add some more.
