Milky Fruit Salad

Fruit salad is a dish consisting of various kinds of fruit, served either in their own juices or a syrup. In different forms fruit salad can be served as an appetizer, a side-salad, or a dessert. When served as an appetizer or as a dessert, a fruit salad is also known as a fruit cocktail.

This is a fruit salad that uses milk, the milk takes on a wonderfully fruity taste . Makes a healthy snack. Here is what you need to make this Summer favorite of mine......

Ingredients:-

1 Liter- Whole Milk
Sugar - to your taste
Mixed fruits: I used apples, grapes, Abricot, oranges, and bananas
1 tsp: Cardamom powder
A handful of raisins ,pistachios and cashewnuts
1 tsp: Pure Vanilla Extract

Method:-

In a deep pan, boil the milk and the sugar for around 20-25 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the Vanilla extract now and stir. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Meanwhile, cut the fresh fruits into small pieces, roast the cashew nuts and pistachios in the microwave till lightly browned. Add the cut up fruits, and nuts along with the cardamom powder to the cooled milk.

Let the milk cool completely before serving. Enjoy as a refreshing Summer drink!
